Smart Lists & Filters

Smart Lists are dynamic, saved filters that automatically group contacts based on criteria you define. Unlike static lists, Smart Lists update in real time as contacts meet or no longer meet the filter conditions.

Creating a Smart List

Available Filter Conditions

• Contact Info: Filter by name, email, phone, address, city, state, zip code, or any custom field.
• Tags: Include or exclude contacts with specific tags.
• Source: Filter by how the contact was added (form submission, import, manual entry, API).
• Activity: Filter by last activity date, email opens, link clicks, or page visits.
• Opportunities: Filter by pipeline stage, deal value, or assigned pipeline.
• Appointments: Filter by upcoming, past, or no appointments.
• Campaigns: Filter by campaign membership, email engagement, or workflow status.
• Date: Filter by date added, date updated, birthday, or custom date fields.

Use Cases for Smart Lists

• New leads added in the last 7 days that have not been contacted.
• Customers who have an appointment scheduled this week.
• Contacts tagged as "Hot Lead" who are in the "Proposal Sent" pipeline stage.
• All contacts in a specific zip code or city for local marketing.
• Contacts who opened your last email campaign but did not click any links.

Tip: Smart Lists are perfect for campaign targeting. When creating email or SMS campaigns, you can select a Smart List as your audience to ensure your message reaches exactly the right people.
