WhatsApp Integration Overview

Lead Fuel CRM supports WhatsApp as a messaging channel, allowing you to communicate with leads and customers through the world's most popular messaging platform. This integration brings WhatsApp conversations into your unified inbox alongside SMS, email, and chat.

Requirements

Before setting up WhatsApp, make sure you have the following:

• A Facebook Business Manager account.
• A verified WhatsApp Business API account.
• A phone number dedicated to your WhatsApp business account (this number cannot be actively used with the WhatsApp personal or standard business app).
• A Lead Fuel CRM account with an active subscription.

Supported Features

The WhatsApp integration in Lead Fuel CRM supports:

• Sending and receiving text messages through WhatsApp.
• Sending images, videos, documents, and audio files.
• Using pre-approved message templates for outbound messaging.
• Two-way conversations within the 24-hour messaging window.
• Unified inbox view with all other messaging channels.
• Workflow automation triggers and actions for WhatsApp messages.
• Contact auto-creation when a new WhatsApp number messages you.

Whatsapp Business Api

Lead Fuel CRM connects to WhatsApp through the official WhatsApp Business API. This is different from the standard WhatsApp app or WhatsApp Business app:

• The Business API supports higher message volumes and automation.
• Messages are sent and received through Lead Fuel CRM's interface, not the WhatsApp app on your phone.
• Outbound messages outside the 24-hour window require approved message templates.
• The API provides delivery and read receipts for tracking message status.

Tip: WhatsApp has very high open rates compared to email and SMS. Use it as a channel for time-sensitive communications like appointment reminders, booking confirmations, and urgent follow-ups.
