Connecting WhatsApp to Lead Fuel CRM

Setting up WhatsApp with Lead Fuel CRM connects your WhatsApp Business API account to your CRM so you can send and receive messages from your Lead Fuel CRM inbox.

    Step-by-step Setup

Step 1:Navigate to Settings > Integrations from the left sidebar.
Step 2:Find the WhatsApp integration and click "Connect."
Step 3:You will be prompted to log in to your Facebook Business Manager account.
Step 4:Select the WhatsApp Business Account you want to connect.
Step 5:Choose the phone number you want to use for WhatsApp messaging.
Step 6:Complete the verification process if prompted.
Step 7:Once connected, the WhatsApp channel will appear as an option in your conversations inbox.

    Phone Number Verification

Your WhatsApp phone number must be verified through the WhatsApp Business API:

    • The number you use cannot be currently registered with the standard WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app.
    • If the number is registered elsewhere, you will need to delete it from those apps first.
    • Verification is done via SMS code or phone call to the number.
    • Once verified, the number is exclusively linked to your WhatsApp Business API through Lead Fuel CRM.

    Business Profile Setup

After connecting, set up your WhatsApp business profile:

    • Business Name: Your company name as it will appear to WhatsApp contacts.
    • Profile Picture: Your logo or business image.
    • About: A short description of your business.
    • Business Category: Select the category that best describes your industry.
    • Business Address: Your physical business location (optional).
    • Business Hours: Set your operating hours so contacts know when to expect responses.
    • Website: Add your website URL to your business profile.

    Testing Your Connection

Step 1:Open the Conversations section in Lead Fuel CRM.
Step 2:Start a new conversation with a test phone number.
Step 3:Select WhatsApp as the channel and send a message using an approved template.
Step 4:Verify the message is delivered and check for a reply.

Tip: Before connecting your primary business number, test the integration with a secondary number to make sure everything works correctly. Once you are confident in the setup, connect your main business number.
