Before you can start sending emails, you need to configure your email settings, connect your email provider, and verify your sending domains.
This guide walks you through the entire setup process.
Step 1: Access Email Settings Step 1: Log in to your Lead Fuel CRM account with administrator privileges Step 2: Navigate to Settings > Email Configuration from the main menu Step 3: Review the Email Setup Overview dashboard to see your configuration status Step 4: Note any setup requirements highlighted in yellow or red alerts Step 2: Connect Your Email Provider Lead Fuel CRM supports integration with major email service providers.
Choose the provider that best fits your needs: • Mailgun: Reliable and affordable, excellent for high-volume sending • SendGrid: Feature-rich with advanced analytics and deliverability tools • Amazon SES: Cost-effective for large volumes, requires AWS account • Native SMTP: Use your existing email provider via SMTP configuration Step 1: Go to Settings > Email Configuration > Provider Setup Step 2: Select your preferred email provider from the dropdown menu Step 3: Click "Connect Provider" and follow the authentication flow Step 4: Authorize Lead Fuel CRM to access your provider account Step 5: Verify the connection shows "Active" status Step 3: Configure Sending Domains Configuring a dedicated sending domain improves email deliverability and establishes your brand identity.
For best results, use a subdomain like mail.yourcompany.com rather than your primary domain.
Step 1: Navigate to Settings > Email Configuration > Sending Domains Step 2: Click "Add New Domain" Step 3: Enter your domain name (e.g., mail.yourcompany.com) Step 4: Copy the DNS records provided by Lead Fuel CRM Step 5: Log in to your domain registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.) Step 6: Add the provided DNS records (MX, CNAME, and TXT records) Step 7: Return to Lead Fuel CRM and click "Verify Domain" Step 8: Wait for DNS propagation (typically 15-30 minutes), then verify again Tip: To speed up DNS propagation, check your registrar's help documentation.
Some registrars require clicking "Apply" or refreshing DNS settings after adding records.
