Step-by-step Dns Setup

Cname Records

CNAME records are the most common way to connect a subdomain to Lead Fuel CRM:

• Used for subdomains like www.yourbusiness.com, blog.yourbusiness.com, or offers.yourbusiness.com.
• The CNAME record points your subdomain to Lead Fuel CRM's server hostname.
• Example: Create a CNAME record with name "www" pointing to the value provided by Lead Fuel CRM.

a Records

A records point a root domain (without "www") directly to an IP address:

• Used when you want yourbusiness.com (without www) to connect to Lead Fuel CRM.
• The A record points your root domain to Lead Fuel CRM's IP address.
• Example: Create an A record with name "@" pointing to the IP address provided by Lead Fuel CRM.

Domain Verification

After adding DNS records, Lead Fuel CRM verifies the connection:

• Click "Verify" in the Domains settings to check if the DNS records are correctly configured.
• If verification fails, double-check your DNS entries for typos or incorrect values.
• DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate globally, though most complete within a few hours.
• Once verified, the domain status will show as "Connected" and your content will be served on that domain.

Tip: If you are having trouble with DNS setup, use a tool like DNS Checker or What's My DNS to verify that your records have propagated. You can also contact your domain registrar's support team for help adding DNS records.
