Creating Your First Automation

AUTOMATION Creating Your First Automation Getting Started Building your first automation is straightforward.

Lead Fuel CRM's intuitive builder guides you through each step, allowing you to create powerful workflows without coding knowledge.

In this guide, we'll walk through creating a simple welcome email automation that sends immediately when someone fills out your contact form.

Step-by-Step: Welcome Email Automation Step 1: Navigate to the Automations section in your Lead Fuel CRM dashboard and click "Create New Automation" Step 2: Enter a descriptive name such as "Welcome Email - Lead Form" and optionally add a description Step 3: Click on the Trigger block to select "Form Submission" as your trigger, then choose the specific form (e.g., your contact form) Step 4: Add an action by clicking the "+" button below the trigger Step 5: Select "Send Email" as the action type Step 6: Choose or create an email template for your welcome message Step 7: Click "Save" to activate your automation Step 8: Test the automation by submitting a test form entry to verify it works correctly Building a Multi-Step Workflow Once you've mastered the basics, you can add multiple steps to your automation.

After the welcome email, you might add a 2-day wait, then send a follow-up email, then assign the contact to a team member.

Stack actions by clicking "+" after each action to add the next step.

Using Conditions to Branch Workflows Conditions allow different contacts to take different paths through your automation.

For example, you could send different follow-up emails based on which service a contact is interested in, or route hot leads to sales while cold leads go to nurturing.
