How to Buy a Domain and Connect It to a Funnel

This guide walks you through purchasing a domain and connecting it to your funnel so your pages are live on a professional, branded URL. No outside tools or third-party registrars needed — you can do everything right inside your account.

Part 1 — Buy Your Domain

Step 1:Click Settings in the left sidebar, then click Domains.

Step 2:You will see a search bar at the top of the page. Type in the domain name you want (for example, yourbusinessname.com) and click Search.

Step 3:The system will show you whether your domain is available, along with the price per year. It will also show a list of similar domains you might like with their prices.

Step 4:Find the domain you want and click the blue Buy button next to it.

Step 5:Wait about one minute while the domain is being registered. You will see a progress indicator on the screen.

Step 6:Once complete, you will see a confirmation that your domain has been registered successfully.

Things to know about your purchase:

Your domain automatically includes WHOIS privacy protection, keeping your personal details hidden from public lookups.
Domain purchases cannot be refunded, canceled, or removed once completed.
The domain stays with the account where it was purchased.

QUICK TIP — You can also buy a domain while you are already editing a funnel or website. In the funnel settings, open the Domain dropdown and click "Can't find your domain?" Then select "Purchase Domain" to jump straight to the search page.

Part 2 — Set Up Your Domain

After buying your domain, you need to configure it before connecting it to a funnel. The good news is that since you bought the domain through the platform, most of the setup is automatic.

Step 1:Go to Settings, then click Domains.

Step 2:Look for the Purchased Domains section at the top of the page. You will see your new domain listed there.

Step 3:Click the Configure button next to your domain.

This opens the domain configuration page where you can see your DNS records and manage your domain settings.

On this page you will see:

Your domain status (Active or Setting Up).
The purchase date and renewal date.
DNS records that were automatically created (A Record and CNAME).
A "Connect this domain" button in the top right corner.

You do not need to manually add any DNS records. Everything is set up automatically because you purchased the domain through the platform.

Part 3 — Connect Your Domain to a Funnel

This is the final step. You are going to link your domain to a specific funnel so people can visit your funnel by typing your domain name in their browser.

Step 1:On the domain configuration page, click the "Connect this domain" button in the top right corner.

Step 2:You will see a screen asking you to enter or confirm your domain name. Make sure it is correct and click Continue.

Step 3:The system will automatically add the required DNS records. Click Continue again.

Step 4:Click Add Records to confirm the DNS setup.

Step 5:Now you will see a screen that says your domain was added successfully. This is where you choose what to connect it to.

Step 6:Under "Select your type," choose Funnel (you can also pick Website, Store, or Blog if that is what you need).

Step 7:Use the "Link domain with funnel" dropdown to select the specific funnel you want to connect.

Step 8:Click Proceed to finish.

That is it. Your domain is now connected to your funnel. An SSL certificate will be set up automatically so your funnel is served securely over HTTPS. This usually takes just a few minutes.

Connecting a Domain You Already Own

If you already bought a domain from somewhere else (like GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Cloudflare), you can still connect it to your funnel. Here is how.

FOR GODADDY, GOOGLE DOMAINS, OR CLOUDFLARE (AUTOMATIC SETUP)

These registrars support automatic DNS configuration, which makes the process simple:

Step 1:Go to Settings, then Domains.

Step 2:Click the blue "Connect a domain" button.

Step 3:Enter your domain name and click Continue.

Step 4:Click Authorize to let the system automatically set up your DNS records.

Step 5:Choose Funnel as your site type and select which funnel to connect.

Step 6:Click Proceed to finish. Your SSL certificate will be set up automatically.

for Other Registrars (manual Setup)

If your registrar does not support automatic setup, you will need to add DNS records manually:

Step 1:Go to Settings, then Domains, and click "Connect a domain."

Step 2:Enter your domain name and click Continue.

Step 3:Click "Add record manually." You will see the exact DNS records you need to copy.

Step 4:Open a new tab and log in to your domain registrar (wherever you bought the domain).

Step 5:Find the DNS settings for your domain.

Step 6:Add an A record — set the name to @ and the value to the IP address shown on screen.

Step 7:Add a CNAME record — set the name to www and the value to the hostname shown on screen.

Step 8:Save your changes. It can take up to 24 hours for DNS changes to take effect, but most complete within 1-2 hours.

Step 9:Go back to the Domains page and click "Verify Records."

Step 10:Once verified, choose Funnel as your site type and select your funnel.

Can I use one domain for multiple funnels?

No. One domain connects to one funnel (or one website, or one store). If you need separate domains for different funnels, use subdomains. For example, use yourbusiness.com for your main website and offers.yourbusiness.com for your sales funnel.

How long does it take for DNS changes to work?

If you purchased your domain through the platform, it works almost immediately. If you are connecting a domain from another registrar, DNS changes can take anywhere from a few minutes to 24 hours.

Does the www version of my domain work too?

Yes. The system automatically redirects www.yourdomain.com to yourdomain.com.

Do I need to buy an SSL certificate?

No. SSL certificates are included for free and are set up automatically for every connected domain.

What if my domain will not verify?
